Judging of the scarecrow competition
“The judging of the scarecrow competition was an incredibly difficult task – with so many different scarecrows of such amazing quality and variety – a huge thank you to everyone who entered. The competition has brought a huge number of visitors to the village, put a smile on so many peoples faces and really shown off the community spirit in Shobdon.
Cllr Roger Phillips was our judge and the results are as follows:
1st prize – One Man and his Dog (old School House)- Phil Whitehouse
2nd prize – Ledicot Lane Rabbit- Rose Lofty
3rd prize – Lady Scarecrow Bateman Close – Becky Coltart
The Special Award for Service to the Community – Mike and Wayne Evans – SID the policeman.
Judges Special mentions to – Alex Powell’s Bath and Toilet at the Church and Hayley’s drunken gardeners at Moor Meadow.
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you again to everyone who took part and to Roger for the almost impossible task of choosing the winners. Thanks also to Wood Stove Services and Shobdon shop for sponsoring the prizes.
Until next year………..
